A Journey to Domyoji Tenmangu: The Sanctuary of Learning
Domyoji Tenmangu was established as the clan deity of the Haji clan, and later incorporated Sugawara no Michizane, a descendant of the Haji clan, as its deity, becoming a Tenmangu shrine. It is revered as the god of learning.

The treasure house holds many valuable cultural properties, including national treasures believed to be the personal belongings of Sugawara no Michizane, such as inkstones and mirrors that have been passed down as sacred treasures, six of which have been designated as national treasures.
As a place associated with Michizane, Domyoji has gathered faith as a god of learning. Behind the main shrine's plum garden, about 80 varieties and 800 plum trees bloom beautifully in February, which is the best time to see them, and it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Greenery in Osaka". In addition, the "Jounari Ume" near the worship hall is a rare plum that bears fruit all year round. The "First Tenjin Usokaesai" held on January 25 every year is a ritual to ward off disasters, and many worshippers visit to wash away the lies they told in the previous year.
