A Taste of Osaka: Exploring Kida Take Udon

Welcome to the heart of Osaka, where the bustling city meets traditional Japanese cuisine. One such place that embodies this fusion is "Kida Take Udon", a popular udon noodle shop located in the Namba district.

The Story Behind Kida Take Udon

A Taste of Osaka: Exploring Kida Take Udon

Kida Take Udon is not just any udon shop. It's the brainchild of Takeshi Kida, the original founder of the renowned "Kama Take Udon". After the closure of Kama Take Udon, Kida decided to take on a new challenge with Kida Take Udon.

A Unique Culinary Experience

What sets Kida Take Udon apart is its unique approach to udon noodles. While Kama Take Udon was known for its thick, chewy noodles, Kida Take Udon has chosen to go with thin, 1.5mm noodles. This change in noodle thickness offers a different texture and allows the flavors of the broth to shine through.

The Menu at Kida Take Udon

The menu at Kida Take Udon is as unique as its noodles. Some of the popular dishes include "Chikuwa Hiya", a cold udon dish with chikuwa (a type of fish cake), and "Kimura-kun", a dish that combines udon with kimchi and taberu rayu (a type of chili oil). There's also "Kizaman", a dish that features thinly sliced green onions on top of udon.
